The BioDesign Foundation promotes the research and implementation of solutions to ecological challenges, based on the principles formalised by the designer Luigi Colani. The great designer and visionary Luigi Colani used to say that his work was '90% nature and 10% Colani transformation'. Through this formula, he designed objects with a focus on functional efficiency, sustainability of the entire production cycle and elegant aesthetic harmony.
From the founding philosophy of Design Colani, strongly dependent on nature as an invaluable source of inspiration, comes the need to dedicate the same commitment and effort to the planet, in order to preserve its beauty and appeal for future generations. The BioDesign Foundation tackles every challenge by aiming straight at its core, to solve it at its source. This is why The Custodians Earth Solution Project was conceived: a platform to gather and address all of the Earth's challenges with concrete actions. Through The Custodians Earth Solution Project, the BioDesign Foundation implements its mission to protect the environment by turning environmental problems into 'challenge, solution and action'.

Trust-IT is an ICT-intensive SME which delivers result-oriented stakeholder communication and engagement strategies to a wide range of stakeholders from different domains, leading international communication and dissemination activities (including workshops, conferences & policy dialogues), orchestrating projects results exploitation and market uptakes combined with quality market research.
Trust-IT has been working with a strong and established community of ocean and marine data practitioners for over 10 years, keeping marine research at the centre of the company interests. Trust-IT has a proven track record of leading and delivering communication strategies that have contributed to the advancement of blue marine science dating back to 2011. As coordinator of the Blue-Cloud H2020 project and of the follow-up Blue-Cloud2026 initiative, Trust-IT is at the forefront of driving innovation and collaboration in this field. Trust-IT also coordinates VeriFish, a soon to start CSA building a sustainability indicator framework to communicate responsible aquafood production and consumption patterns, and leads dissemination and outreach activities for a number other projects in the biodiversity and earth science sector, namely DTO-BioFlow, BioDT, Boost4BIOEast, EO4EU and provides software & digital marketing services for a number of ECMWF Destination Earth projects.

Sara Pittonet Gaiarin is a Senior Project manager and Shareholder at Trust-IT Services since 2010. She coordinated the the Blue-Cloud H2020 project and now she does so also for the follow-up Blue-Cloud2026 HE Project, where she focuses on user uptake and Blue-Cloud’s impact on Open Science, Open & FAIR Data and Research Data Management. A former journalist, she has a Master’s degree in International & Diplomatic Sciences from the University of Trieste, Italy. She manages the implementation of complex digital marketing strategies combining her Project and Resource Management skills in the context of EU Open Science communications R&D projects supported by the European Commission. For her commercial & industry-led clients, she rolls-out intensive, user-driven marketing strategies with an eye to aggregating communities and user adoption of research results.
